About the school Minimalist perfumery, maximal clarity

We teach modern perfumery the way it’s practiced: structured, testable, and deeply human.

Our mission is to make fragrance creation learnable: clear briefs, measurable exercises, and the craft behind the emotion. From aroma chemistry fundamentals to composition strategy, we guide students to build their own language—note by note.

Mission

To demystify fragrance creation without diluting it. We focus on teachable skills: material literacy, structure, and iterative testing. Students learn to translate an idea into an accord, and an accord into a perfume with intention.

What “minimalist approach” means here

  • Simple briefs that force clarity, not limitation.
  • Few metrics, tracked consistently: diffusion, longevity, clarity, balance.
  • Systems thinking: roles of materials (support, lift, diffusion, fixation).

Updated weekly

1) Materials

Smell with intent

Learn families, facets, volatility, and common pairings—then verify with blind drills.

2) Structure

Build an accord

Top/heart/base roles, contrast, harmony, and the “one job per material” rule.

3) Testing

Measure & iterate

Micro-batches, controlled variables, evaluation notes, and revision strategy.

4) Brief

Communicate clearly

Tell the story: concept, target effect, constraints, and delivery specs.

Want the short version?

We teach fragrance like a studio: practice first, theory as a tool, feedback as a method. If you prefer clarity over mystique, you’ll feel at home.

Team philosophy

“Teach the decision, not the vibe.”

Pedagogy principles

We optimize for skill transfer. Our approach is a mix of deliberate practice, gentle constraints, and high-quality critique.

Micro-plan

Pick a goal to generate a plan.

Principle 01

Make decisions visible

We teach why an ingredient is there: to lift, to bind, to extend, to add texture. This reduces “mystery” and improves revision speed.

Principle 02

Constraints create style

Tight briefs prevent drifting. You learn faster when the challenge is clear: “fresh tea, no citrus, 12 materials max.”

Principle 03

Feedback is a skill

We train students to critique with precision: what changed, where it changed, and what to try next—without ego.

Principle 04

Repeatable evaluation

You can’t improve what you can’t observe. We use consistent smelling setup, blotter timing, and note templates.

Meet the philosophy

Our “team approach” is a set of habits—shared language, shared standards.
